Departmental Funding Opportunities for Research 

  

Undergraduate Research Fellowship 

  • The Undergraduate Research Fellowship provide funds to students who are working on their own psychological research project (PSYC 99, 199, 194A/B/C) under the mentorship of a faculty member. These funds may assist students with the cost of research, data collection, study equipment, participant needs, etc. The maximum request limit is $200.00 but students could be awarded less than this amount. Applicants must be active UCSD students declared in one of the Psychology majors. 

Undergraduate Anderson Research Travel Award

  • The Undergraduate Anderson Research Travel award provides funds to assist undergraduate psychology majors with travel expenses to present their research at scholarly conferences related to the field of Psychology. Applications should include proof of the invitation to present at the research conference, an abstract of the paper/poster and details on the travel expenses.The maximum request limit is $200.00 but students could be awarded less than this amount. Applicants must be active UCSD students declared in one of the Psychology majors.

The FA23 undergraduate application for departmental funding opportunities closed as of Friday, October 27th. 

The SP24 undergraduate application for departmental funding opportunities will open at the beginning of the Spring quarter. Please visit our website during that time for more details. 

Please have the following information ready to apply: 

  • Student name
  • Student PID
  • Declared psych major
  • Title and abstract of your research project
  • Study IRB approval number
  • Primary mentor name, psychology faculty mentor name
  • Conference name, location, dates, and website
  • Expense details (registration, hotel, flight, poster printing fee, etc.)
  • Copy of your poster abstract and conference presentation invitation
  • Any additional information you would like to share (open text box)
