UCSD/Psychology Pet Policy [UCSD Dog Control Regulations]
1. Pets are not allowed in instructional settings.
2. Pets on campus must be licensed and leashed (or equally controlled) in public spaces or securely confined to rooms.
3. If a pet is kept in an academic office, an immediate pet-free office hour option must be available for any visiting student who requests it.
4. For shared academic offices and settings, pets are only allowed if it is predetermined that all users of the space are comfortable with the animal’s presence.
5. Pets are not allowed in brown bags, colloquia, or other public meetings since it is not practical to determine that all participants are comfortable with a pet being present.
6. The pet owner is responsible for ensuring the animal remains quiet and does not damage or soil property.
