Psychology Career Symposium

Mark your calendar for the Psychology Department's first ever Career Symposium, Careers in Mind! Meet Psychology alums and community members working in fields relevant to you! Hear their stories, get advice, ask questions, and network!
Event check-in begins at 1:30 pm, followed by a Keynote address and panels in the following areas:
- Working with Children
- Counseling and Clinical Psychology Careers
- Exploring Business Psychology
- Beyond Psychology
There will also be presentations by Career Center and Academic Internship Program staff and opportunities to meet in small group settings with panelists.
The event concludes with a catered mixer with panelists from 5-6 pm.

Keynote Speaker
Wil Dyer
Director of the Corporate Affiliates Program, UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering
Wil Dyer is a higher education leader with expertise in connecting student talent with industry. Currently, Wil is the Director of the Corporate Affiliates Program at UC San Diego’s Jacobs School of Engineering, where he leads industry relations strategies to drive partnership in support of significant talent, research and education initiatives. He strives to build mutually beneficial partnerships in the interest of bridging the gap between industry and higher education, working with top companies like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple and others to hire thousands of students from UC San Diego.
A proud UC San Diego alumnus, Wil graduated with a degree in Psychology from Thurgood Marshall College, and has remained with the campus for the majority of his career. He sits on the Economic Development Committee of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation, focused on keeping business and talent in San Diego. In his spare time, Wil enjoys sports and spending time with his wife and daughter.
